Laoch An Phobal is a Celtic phrase which means community hero. Each year we select one Broward County Officer who was killed in the line of duty and honor their sacrifice by naming them the Loach An Phobal for the year. This allows the community to remember a Fallen Officer from the past and reassure the community that his/her sacrifice will never be forgotten.
